Now Playing: Not a damn thing...
A week ago I went out and bought Star Wars Battlefront II and GTA San Andreas. That's all well and good and I actually expected to have a hell of a lot of fun on Battlefront II, especially since it was one of my favorites on the PS2, and according to what I'd read from the fanboys on GFAQS, there were new heroes on the 'box. Great! After burning the backwards compatibility March update to a disc and letting the process complete on my Xbox, I plugged in the Live headset, sat down, and was all ready for a whole weekend of teaching the n00blets on Live a lesson in Aayla Secura when --
UNRECOGNIZED DISC
1. Clean the disc with a soft cloth.
2. Restart the console.
Check www.xbox.com/support for more information. lolz bye!
W...T...F?
That wasn't supposed to happen! So I did what it said and checked the official Xbox site. Guess what? There was no mention of there being such an issue with the backwards compatibility, which meant that I was a lone wolf. A little pissed I call up the losers at support and they told me they'd send an update disc.
A week later, yesterday, it finally got here. I was thanking God I was so excited. I was ready to sit down and play my Battlefront II! But guess what? It didn't make a damn bit of difference. The same thing happened, which now leads me to this:
1. The games are defective.
2. The hard drive is defective.
It IS a used hard drive while the games are brand new, so I'm starting to think the guys down at the game store pulled a fast one. Meh... maybe I should have come up with that extra $15.00 for a brand new one. Then I wouldn't be sitting here writing about it in a damn blog.
